Mother's Day 2008 on Squam Lake. Dad and I surprised Mom by having her boat, Xanadu, ready for the water today. This morning started with me face-down on a dock, shoulder deep in 40 degree water, trying to anchor exceedingly rusty chains to the dock. Several hours later, we were out on the water, for Xanadu's shakedown cruise, complete with the obligatory wine and cheese. We bubbled past the eagles on the lake to say hello, and just truly enjoyed the sunny day on Squam. And as for the quality of the movie itself - this is my first try on the new Mac!
