Tell you story about this... Forget about asking for help from most "fellow" Houdini artists, because you won't get it, and if you do it will be very vague, so you'll have to figure it out on your own anyway.
I sent this file to (i won't mention the name), and all I get is: divided by 3 instead of 2, reference the transform node, adjust stiction (wow how do you do that...) and $FF instead of $F to write out VDB. Uhhhhh... yeah okay.
I had to readjust the sim and get correct numbers based on PS for VDB my way regardless. Anyway, i figured out how to create air field where "air is only needed" and use smoke solver to agitate fluid (which you see in the beginning). The air field creates some nice streams and breaks it up which is the correct way to do this. I need to do some other things to this, but I will make this hip file available to anyone so they can learn, and not have to BUY an OTL to create air-field just because somebody has a bug up their ass and thinks it's some "golden state of the art workflow" that they don't want to share... give me a break please... WETA and a majority of other studios were doing shit like this years ago! I share all my work because I want other beginning artists like myself to prosper and not get frustrated. We don't need the extra stresses, there's enough negativity in this world already! If they use it for their portfolio, that's fine as long as they give me some credit... if not, then shame on them, but I still continue to share because I need help as well, and I don't want the door closed on me...

Anyway, simulation is done on same computer, mac-mini core-i7 2.3ghz. 13M particles here for now.
