In 2007, just weeks before the beginning of the Maine shrimp season, the First Universalist Church of Rockland, with the help of fishermen from Port Clyde, took a leap of faith and created Maine’s first Community Supported Fishery program.
Now in their third year, we sat down with church members Lucie Bauer and Diane Schetky to learn how their concern for environmental justice led from local farms to local fish.
