English subbed version of this awarded short film that playfully addresses issues such as racism and immigration.

Written and directed by me. It was shot in a night with a crew of just two, me and DP Jon D. Domínguez.

Featuring Irene Anula and Aurora Villanueva.

UPDATE by august 2011:

By now, the short film has been selected in more than 80 festivals and has won 18 prizes in spanish and international venues. It has been nominated in three more festivals and took part in the Cannes Short Film Corner and the Odense Film Festtival

on 0.23 seconds you do a nice camera move. May I ask how did you do that. Did you do it with a glidecam or something like that?

That's just a pan, but the camera's so close that the focal point certainly moves upwards, creating a certain feeling of a moving camera.

The lion sleeps tonight made me really laugh (AbimBowe). A lovely & brilliant way to finish! The whole project was superb. Never lost interest for one second. Great piece of work & thanks for sharing.

Me gusta el tema que utilizas—el racismo, casi no se oye tanto de los inmigrantes que entran a las Islas Canarias de África. Ni sabía que había racismo contra ellos, hasta que miré este video. Pensé que era nada más un problema de la península (España).
Me gusta que estas utilizando “alta definición” (High Definition?)—así se deben de ver las prelícualas/videos.

I love how she tricked the little old lady into feeling guilty about her remarks...and when she sang "In The Jungle" by the American band "The Tokens" I thought that was very cute...great stuff!
