The short Swedish film, Passing Hearts, is the winner of top awards in a dozen international film festivals from Berlin to New York to Aspen. It's the story of 13-year-old Daniel who has received a heart transplant. After receiving a letter in the mail, Daniel skips school the next day and travels to meet the parents of Stefan, Daniel's heart donor.
In the Parable of the Heart, Heart Surgeon Clay Burnett, MD, comes in at the end of Passing Hearts and compares physical heart transplants to spiritual heart transplants (Ezekiel 36:26 and John 17:26). The full length version of Passing Hearts followed by The Parable of the Heart is 25 minutes total.
