Dryland excerpted footage—Historian, farmer, and purveyor of agricultural products to much of the Inland Northwest Alex McGregor talks about the way wheat was transported to market after harvest. Rare black and white archival footage from Eastern Washington shows harvest crews taking wheat to the Snake River, on the Washington-Idaho border, to be lowered to the river and then loaded onto barges for the long trip to the seaport. Music written and performed for Dryland by acclaimed composer Mark Orton (Nebraska).
