Inspired by Ken Trammel's "Shader Forge: Material Speed Boost" tutorial for Blender's Cycles Renderer.
(cgcookie.com/blender/2014/07/10/shader-forge-material-speed-boost/)

In this first quick tutorial, I'm presenting a way to reduce render times without compromising the final render.

In essence, I tried to figure out a way to replicate in the Maya/VRay environment, what Trammel did in Cycles.
The results are comparable, but less so when utilising the unbiased GI engines (Irradiance map, Light cache).

It's a straightforward procedure and shouldn't present any issues in production. If it does I will update this video accordingly.

As it is my first video tutorial there are a lot of things to iron out, so feel free to comment.

*EDIT: I've already got some valuable feedback on the speech and mic issues. I'll re-upload soon. Thanks!
