Long lasting memories of our trip to Oakhurst, California for Roy and Mabel Young's memorial service. Jason's grandparents' final wishes were for their ashes to be spread together amidst the tall pines, weathered rocks and the gentle stream of beautiful Soquel.

The song selection I chose for this video, Ashokan Farewell, has long been a favorite of mine since I played it in middle school. I think it fits the character, emotion, passion, and everlasting beauty of the American wilderness.

All the video clips you see here were taken by myself using an iPhone5 with Manfrotto products (KLYP system with three detachable lenses and tripod). One video shot (of the baby squirrel) was taken handheld using a Canon 60D 35mm prime lens.

Most of the picture stills were taken using the same Canon 35mm. Others were taken with the iPhone5. Thank you to Katie Young Henson for providing some of the picture you see here.

Jason and I are very pleased in how everything turned out. It was a fantastic opportunity to reunite with the Young Family.

I hope you enjoy the video. I'm really proud of it.
