1. music for an artist
This is my 1st 16mm hand painted film. Projected with Eiki 16mm film projector on the wall and than shot with DVcam.
Inspired by Stan Brakage, Helen Hill and other avant-garde/experimental filmmakers.

Video is edited in FinalCutPro and music is fused in logic with my first fender fat-strat

I had to re-upload, it wasn't playing the way it should be so I de-interlaced and compressed in clear version.

Cool, what kind of paint are you using? I'm gonna do some tests soon...

on this I used water color based color markers. So it goes transparent when projected. Or just painting with water color is fine but you have to seal it with fixatif spray or any other finishing spray on top so it doesn't peel away when it dries.
well, good luck and show us when your done! :)

awesome. really beautiful and the music is rad. have you tried adjusting the frame rate on your dvcam camera to something closer to 16 fps?
  • Suzi Q. 2 months ago
no this was actual speed on my 16mm projector.
I think it was 24 fps but when I shot with DV it was 29.95 or something so it came out like that(?) i guess.
