iComplete: Text entry for mobile devices using ad-hoc abbreviation
1 year ago
This video demonstrates a new method for efficient text entry on mobile devices using ad-hoc abbreviations. The approach is easy-to-use because (1) users are not required to learn any pre-defined abbreviation rules, (2) abbreviated input phrases are automatically detected and expanded, and (3) it is possible to recover words that may be omitted from phrases either by accident or intention. This work has been accepted for full-paper publication at Advanced Visual Interface conference in May 2010.
