    I like this video. :)

BTW, if you follow the tutorials, your 2 minute video doesn't have to be over 65 MBs, so that would save you quite some uploading time.

Yea :) Just exporting it as a mp4 would probably cut back on size a lot...

  • Jordan Clarke plus 1 year ago
Hey no problem and thanks a lot! I used a panasonic HVX200 for all my videos.
  •
  • Linus Ekenstam 2 years ago

I especially love the moment when the walnuts get smashed. Perfect timing with the music.

a little red food coloring in the eggs would have assured the grossness I think You were going for. great clarity

  •
  • awesome. great shots and editing. music went really well with it. what was the music on it? the think i think i liked most was the lighting. what did you do for lighting?
  • Jordan Clarke plus 1 year ago
Hey thanks a lot. The song is by matmos, the song is struggle against. For lighting i used a red head kit. One 1k light and two 600w. I shot in a studio with white paper background.
  • very nice. so how did you get some of the shots to be so completely black in the BG? is it just that you had a lot of space because you were in a studio?
  • Jordan Clarke plus 1 year ago
    Black Backgrounds, color correction
  •
  • Tom Thistlethwaite 1 year ago
Sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll... so nothing but good lighting and the HVX-200? No 35mm adapter?

Very nice indeed. More to the point, great cuts.

Looks like you've been watching Dexter. If you haven't, you should certainly check out the opening sequence.
I definitely dig your brown sugar shot.
    Nice work!
  • Jordan Clarke plus 1 year ago
Haha the website that i made this for told me they wanted a dexteresque kinda of filming
  •
  • zach marsh 1 year ago
looks good man, huge fan of cooking haha.
  •
  • isaacwayton 1 year ago
were you making banana bread? Those macro shots of the brown sugar looked other worldly...amazing footage and the music really gives it a strange vibe.
  •
  • beautiful...so well done.

do you do all zooms and pans in final cut or whatever? i guess i'm just curious how you maneuver your camera/tripod to achieve all those awesome close-ups.
  • Jordan Clarke plus 1 year ago
i used a tripod for all my pans, and zoomed in on my camera, for the balloons video that was all final cut, i just set my camera up and then moved the camera around in final cut.

    Love the video.

I also have that Matmos song, though I couldn't place the song or the musicians as I was watching. Thanks for saying who was playing.

Otherwise I probably would have spent a week with that music question nagging at the edge of my concentration. (WHERE have I heard that? I HAVE that CD! & it has to be in iTunes SOMEWHERE!)

Now I get to just enjoy the dessert saga.

  •
  • Joe 1 year ago
well done, the images were excellent, the edit was great, the video saturation and music were outstanding, but the food looked awful

All your videos are incredible. I cant stop watching all of them. Im addicted. haha

How do you get such amazing quality. When i go back and watch mine, they look nothing like yours.

Do you mind sharing your settings for exporting? I'd love to get the quality of your videos for mine on this site.
  • Jordan Clarke plus 1 year ago
I use H.264, on best settings at 720x1280. Thanks a lot for the encouragement though it means a lot.

Great lighting, shooting and editing.. just don't expect me to eat that! :p

Was that chocolate you were sprinkling over the eggs?!
  •
  • what this studio based dude? and what lens was it using?
  • Jordan Clarke plus 1 year ago
This was just in my school. I didn't use any specific lens, just my hvx200.
  • Ralph Lindsen 1 year ago
    dude...

    you are a student?

if so, you must really like the people/atmosphere or something, cause filming wise, you probably surpassed your teachers by now.

or are you one of the teachers?
  • AndyM801 1 year ago
what school do you go to?

(i'm looking into VFS, if you have any advice)
  •
  • Oren plus 1 year ago
Great job, well lit and shot and the editing was the, err...icing on the cake.
  •
  • Sunny Sawhney 1 year ago
    hahahahaha Oren, that was great.

Jordan could you let me know what settings on the HVX it was on?

Did you do some major color correction?

I'm just asking because i'm looking to buy a HVX and all your footage really intensifies my feelings on buying one.
  • Jordan Clarke plus 1 year ago
Well it would take awhile to explain the settings, but in short form, 720p at 24 frames per second. I did do major color correction as well as using plug-ins, also having a good understanding of depth of field and lighting techniques is a huge importance. Hvx200 is an awesome camera, you have to know how to use it right though or your footage can turn out like shit. Cameras only do so much.
  • Sunny Sawhney 1 year ago
alright great, thank you very much. Any recommendations as far as plug-ins go?
  •
  • supergonzo 1 year ago
    tha's great, man!
  •
  • These closeups are hot. Nice shots; it does get a bit tiresome to watch extreme closeups over and over again, but they still look good. Try varying that zoom a bit. Nice work, though.

  • Beautiful indeed!

I agree with Fahngool, I thought it was amazing and beautiful edits and quality. But given the idea of this 'rawness' would be nice to see it without the fleshy digits.
