I loaded this to YouTube to test how HiDef from my JVC GZ-HD7 would work there. Needless to say, I was less than impressed even though they are increasing file size and quality. It just misses the mark and negates the point of having a HiDef camera. The quality wasn't much better than when I had a non-HiDef JVC camera. This version was converted to .wmv. I will do some shooting and upload in the native .mpg (.tod).

Hi there. I am looking at buying one of these cameras but with some reservations.
I just don't understand! The picture quality you have here is of far lesser quality than I have seen from other owners/users of this camera.

You're right. This is not indicative of this camera's potential. The reason is I made the mistake of saving the video in .wmv format. I'm still learning the correct settings when producing.

Ok, I see....yes, things like this I will have to learn also.
Somebody should put together a tutorial for these more complicated camera's.
Heck, I'd pay to learn....especially when you've invested in the camera already!
