The 2011 J-ROUTE campaign aimed to bring Korean tourists back to Japan, who had left since a huge earthquake in the early of the year.
During the campaign titled as “Japan leads you somewhere”, total 144 J-ROUTE contents about 24 new attractive spots were published via SNS and blogs. The key contents were produced by power bloggers who are renowned for their authentic and informative posts. They were invited to each place of 24 spots and asked to write their own travel logs. Their stories containing short films tracking their trips were posted on the J-ROUTE microsite and spread out via blogs and SNS.
To make e-buzzing, SNS promotions were executed to encourage users to get free chance to travel Japan. The mission to get the ticket was to make a team for trip by inviting their SNS friends.
J-ROUTE mobile app was also developed embodying the real time map technology so that travelers could access latest and various travel information anytime anywhere. Besides, the app provides currency rate calculator, photo dictionary and weather forecast services, which are useful for travelers.
