Very cool I love the tune and how the pitch changes as the creame went in , tea time is when?
  • Tallulah 3 years ago
Yeah, I think tea time should have been around four o'clock. I was a little more than an hour late (check the clock on the stove). Oh well. Thanks for the comment!

    Awesome song, who is that?

I really like the lighting on the table shot as well. It'd be cool to see the video done in entirely that white style like the table.

And don't you hate it when the scone doesn't fit?
  • Tallulah 3 years ago
Thanks for the comment, bug! The song is "Good Sleep" by I Am Robot and Proud. And, yes, I do hate when the scone doesn't fit -- and that was even a small scone!

love the music, too, and i'm pretty sure i'm in love with your sink fixtures and all your kitchenware shown. lol

    very nice! :)
  • Tallulah 3 years ago
To be completely honest, the sink is never this clean. Neither is the stove. Nor the countertop, for that matter.

    Brilliant!
I really like you glass jar.
Your house looks pretty neat too!

    ps: where´s frank lloyd wright?
  • Tallulah 3 years ago
Ha, ha! The teacup and saucer were designed at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture & Design (Taliesin) in Arizona! Wright is one of my favorite designers and his aesthetic fits the style of my home perfectly!

First, I'm a fan of your music choice ! It sounds perfect with the clip. Peaceful !
Like Eat a bug, shot on the table are really beautiful.
I particulary like the shot when nothing happens execpt the condensation on the thing (I don't know the word). Les couleurs, hum, un régal !!
And like Nami, the sound of the spoon on the cup, I don't find an adjective.
Let's go watch another time !

Nice video, but just a little criticism. To make the perfect cuppa...
1, let the tap run a little before you fill the kettle (just to get rid of the stale water)
2, one spoon of tea per person AND ONE FOR THE POT, also let the tea float loose in the pot
3, always take the teapot to the kettle, to ensure boiling water
4, let it mash/steep/stand for a few minutes
but the video and music was great
  • Tallulah 3 years ago
Thanks! I haven't heard some of these tips before, so I'll give it a shot next time...

I would also advise against using milk of any sort in Earl Grey. A squeeze of lemon works well with this aromatic brew.
  • Tallulah 3 years ago
SteveR: Is there a particular tea that you would recommend? When I was in England last, Ty-phoo seemed to be the populist choice...was I misinformed?
  • Andy Galletly plus 3 years ago
i like PG tips, tho my friend swears by 'yorkshire tea'... shop around and find one that suits your taste... also it is technically 'ok' to have milk in earl grey, just unusual
  • SteveR plus 3 years ago
Ty-phoo is fine for a quick cup before setting off for work. Any premium brand of loose tea should suffice for a more contemplative brew. I'm quite keen on Whittards Moroccan Mint Tea at the moment, a blend of green China gunpowder tea and spearmint.

I like how the kettle whistle sound blended in so well with the soundtrack.

CooL stuff, I'm glad I'm not making tea though, I would have thrwon a shot of vodka in mine... thats why I don't drink tea I guess, or booze anymore. hah.

I loved your angle for the shot too :P

    i long for tea now.

a question for the tea lovers here: is there really that much difference between loose leaf tea and bagged tea? even the higher priced bagged teas? i use republic of tea (earl grey or wild blueberry normally, served black) for my morning cuppa, and would only be interested in a switch if the benefits outweighed the convenience.
  • Tallulah 3 years ago
For me it's a matter of taste, not convenience. When I make tea, I'm never in a hurry. The ritual is actually relaxing.

I choose to use loose tea because (if properly stored) it just tastes better (fresher) than bagged tea. But that's me.

I love this video. I love tea, but can't seem to get mine to taste the same as the tea I drank (by the gallon) when I visited England a few years back. Now you've given me the bug to try again.

Very nice. Smooth compression of the video too, something I can't quite figure out properly. Good editing. I am making tea now.

hah did anyone get annoyed at the one little spec of tea that escaped onto the table top?
I love it, again- music is perfecto. Personally in the top faves of the tea making series. I also like how your tap runs.. like really straight- heh just looked nice:)

This is still one of my favorite vimeos of all time.

I envy your faucets and kitchenware.
  • Tallulah 3 years ago
Thanks for watching it again, FuzzyDave!

Since filming this clip, my kitchen has undergone a complete makeover. I don't really miss the cabinets, countertops, or even the appliances, but I always loved that old faucet. Thanks to vimeo, it will live on...

Hehe, I thought milk was always a big no no for the perfect cup of tea.
But Earl Grey is a great choice. I like this... and your kitchen utensils. :)

I do love a nice earl grey like, but you can't beat a good strong PG Tips, a drop of milk, two sugars and a couple of hob nobs ;D I've recently bought an aerobie aeropress for my coffee too, makes the nicest mug ever. Goodboo!
