FORT BELVOIR, Va.—Carla Hall, co-host of ABC’s TV show “The Chew,” shared her passion for food with troops and their families on Monday and Tuesday during her first USO tour.

On her two-day tour to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, and the USO’s Warrior and Family Centers at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and Bethesda, Maryland, Hall drew crowds of more than 340 troops and military families.

In addition to a book signing and a hospital visit, Hall’s July 21-22 tour also included four specialty cooking classes created exclusively for healing heroes, their families and caregivers.

"I’m here because I love the feeling of giving back,” Hall said. “And meeting some of those wounded warriors and all that they’ve done for this country and how selfless they are … it’s my opportunity to give back.”
