Scenes from a Summer's Day in South County Rhode Island. Janice rolls down the drive on her Penny Board. Ping Pong on the deck. Janice shot some of the clips during Ping Pong. She is much more creative than her dad! She has some unique camera angles that resulted in interesting perspectives of Ping Pong. :-)

I always shoot full manual, though when I handed the GH3 to Janice I set it to Intelligent Auto. That worked fine for a few stills she took, but, instead of using the 'red button' to shoot a movie in IA mode, Janice turned the mode dial to the indicator with the Movie Camera. Makes sense, but, that is "Creative Movie Mode", and, like I said, I have that set to Full Manual, so, you must always set the Aperture, ISO, ans Shutter Speed manually. So...the exposures for Janice's very creative and interesting video clips were wildly out of whack. Mostly severely over exposed with a lot of blown highlights. I did what I could in post to tame the exposure, but...they are a little extreme. But, in some ways that just adds to the interesting camera angles Janice used.

After Ping Pong we went to Point Judith Lighthouse. It became a very dark and gray day, but, sometimes such days are more interesting that just plain blue skies?

The second song in the video is the US Coast Guard March, since the largest building at Point Judith is the USCG Station.

Camera: GH3.
Lens Lumix 12-35 mm
All 100% hand held. The Lumix 12-35 has very good Image Stabilization.
