Yes another Animoto.com totally different treatment.
this one same set;

flickr.com/photos/kikisdad/sets/72157604465545634/

as the previous but different tune from
Jimmy LaFave the TexOma man his sef.
tune is a portion of "This Land"
from his album of a little over a year ago
"Cimmaron Manifesto" (awesome album btw)
if you dig Jimmy check out his Texoma record,
hell, all his records he's @ JimmyLaFave.com
awesome singer song writer and cool guy, now based
out of Austin.

(I like this one better, you?)

(Note ; I wanted to mention the thumbnail is likely the coolest on any of the animoto pieces I have done and that is due to Vimeo randomly picking it (not the featuresd one by the way) and Animoto "kicking some serious visual butt." That's team work!

Awesome images and great pace. I definitely like this one the best.

How hard is this program to use?

WOW! that was cool ! what program are you using is that hard to do??
  • CTD3 2 months ago
No not hard to do although you may want to do several and that's easy too the hard part, if you will, is the placement of the images in the run since it does go in an order it is not uncommon to do a number of them to get to a "gem" and shift the images in ways that add impact or interest.
The Program is Animoto and I found out about it via a vimeo conyact Amit Gupta amitgupta.com who is a never ending font of connections and inspiration.
The site is listed in the description there is a referral program for peeps who sign up , message me for info.
it would be nice for the vimeonattii to spread that around too.
I've been jazzed about it since Amit turned me on to it
once you figure it ou you end up sorting through what the site itself Generates for you since you cannot actually plan the transitions so I'd say one in 4- lean towards awesomeness plus and remixing or editing the music is easy and you can try it for free (shorts) and then you catch on to the tweak aspect.

    Yeah,
like it - but, sorry, the single pictures are more better!

I wouldn't follow your sharing in future, as you alway have soo good music! That's too expensive ;-)

    Thanks for it!

Great track. Im going through a Steve Earle phase at the moment and Jimmy LaFave fits in great. Great photo's too sir.
  • CTD3 2 months ago
    Hello Bill check out Steve Earle's son Justine Townes Earle who has a new one out here's an NPR story;
    npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=90228700
I played a track on the show last week very impressive recording, you would for sure appreciate it.
Jimmy is an awesome SS i have been following his career for a decade.

I did enjoy the video, but, as a photographer (of some sort), although I thought the transitions were cool, I was a little disappointed at trying to watch and appreciate the images. It seemed too busy and I couldn't concentrate on the pictures. Sorry to criticize.
  • CTD3 2 months ago
No problem Dan thanks for the comment .
btw, the set is in the description to "really see
the stills". Animoto is about presentation with motion,
timing based on the music & seeing the pics in a very different and exciting way, and for me this one turned out real decent. I do not take it as a crit,
more an opinion. welcome to vimeo.

I don't usually like video of photo but using that thing makes it really different. I like what you've done here.

    Many thanks Remi.

    I don't get it.
Why are 'transitions' are soooo cool?

I suppose it's something unusual, but the images taken a backseat. So, if am correct, the transitions are the key showpiece and the images are mearly there to support it.
    Hmmmm.
That's one way you conveyed the images.

Well, don't take it too personally, am not 'attacking' your work :)
I just don't like fancy transitions that has nothing to do with the story (images).

This comes under the heading of art.
Nothing wrong with that ... I may try it myself :)

    'Cause they ARE,,,
whatever rocks your world, why has this one more than other resonated with some?,,
    who knows.
I do not take it personally. it is what it is.
    thanks

I tried it myself and it's not too bad, (kruzer at animoto) if one get over the idea that all this thing is; transations.

Maybe this idea of photo presentation is a bit advanced and takes time to get use to it, but as I said... it's an art :)

I think it's a language where tweaking and intuition are helpful to get the most out of it
what it took three or four tries to get this one,,,
