Meanwhile, the people in Judah said, “The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.” Nehemiah 4:10

Study Questions
1 When and how have you felt like the workers re-building the walls around Jerusalem?
2 Who are some of the other Biblical characters that have had to deal with discouragements? What can you learn from them?
3 What are some of the common factors that are likely to contribute to our feelings of discouragement? (fatigue, frustration, failure, fear, etc?)
4 Look at 2 Corinthians 4:1. Which do you think is easier rebuilding a wall like Nehemiah or freeing someone from the power of sin in their life? How are they similar? How are they the same?
5 Which do you find it easier to do, look at your problems or look at God’s promises? How and where did you learn to approach life with that attitude?
6 Who are the people in your life who encourage you? Do you have enough of them?
7 Who are the people in your life whom you encourage? How adequate do you feel in doing that?
8 What scripture have you memorized, what songs do you listen to and/or what discipline have you developed to help you deal with your discouragement?
