Software used: Houdini, Mantra, Maya, V-Ray

Methodology:
A generic rig asset was created in Houdini to determine which parts of the plane were colliding with the ground.
That information was then used to drive simulations for debris, sparks, and the volumes.
Light information and direction was exported from Maya for use in rendering.
All of the effects were rendered in Houdini using Mantra.
