Propolis Brewing, located in Port Townsend, WA specializes in handcrafting Seasonal Herbal Ales. We have been crafting our ales for the lasts 18 months and are one of Washington’s smallest breweries producing roughly 125 bbls a year (3,875 gallons). Propolis utilizes 100% Pacific Northwest sourced certified organic grain, farm supported/foraged fruits as well as local wild-crafted herbs and botanicals. Our Seasonal Farmhouse-style ales are uniquely brewed to reflect the richness of our Olympic Peninsula.
Focused on communicating the importance of organic local beer, we are inspiring non-beer drinkers and beer lovers to a new level of integrity, environmental accountability and sustainability through more handcrafted artisan organic ales. Although very small, Propolis has already received wonderful recognition from the press and won multiple awards in Washington. We are working extremely hard to meet the growing demand from consumers in Washington, Oregon and across the country. We have doubled production every six-months, yet are still only capable of reaching 25% of our demand.
We are dearly looking for a new home that will support a tasting room, larger production space and allow us to grow even more herbs and cultivate bees.
The Edg3 fund would offer us access to capital for the myriad of expenses associated with upgrading a brewery. Specifically, we would utilize these resources for finding a new home and building a tasting room that will allow us to create new jobs and bring increased revenue to our town.
