After leaving the UK, Innsbruck has become my new home, its a city of extreme beauty and I had time in the last days to practice with my new letus extreme, hoping to get the hang of it before we start a paid job next week.

Spectacular footage, it would be my dream to attain such quality. Great set-up but also a lot of $, just curious but how can you afford equipment like this? (Not to be offensive)

There may not be many good cuts in this, but there is one very ugly one that smacks you in the face.
    can you spot it ?????
Its a problem with being impetuous.

the shot of the dark haired girl standing in the doorway. i only see her face for about half a second, then i just see the back of her head.

nice look tho. i liked this video.

please do more time lapses with those beautiful mountains.

are you using the letus ex1 acromat kit on the extreme? the edge to edge sharpness looks great.
  • greenjelly film plus 1 year ago
    HI Tom
got the new acromat its a great ! when i have time i will take time to do a portrait of the area-and make an effort with the edit-i have to improve my editing.

Great job - I'm awaiting my Letus Mini due in about 14 days if all is well - this stuff just makes me want it right this minute... :)

One of the first mountains looked very blury, is that the 'ugly' one? Everything looked perfect to me.

Beautiful shots you have in here.
I like the painter, that's another way how to paint, but it doesn't look very ergonomic...

Nice stuff, gotta love DOF. I wish I had a letus. First a new tripod (somewhere next week)

What did you color grade with?!

  • greenjelly film plus 1 year ago
magic bullet + custom camera presets-a few of the shots are actually clean without the letus.
  • Mike McGee 1 year ago
wow, now that looks more like film then any other video i've seen on the internet shot with the EX1 and Letus. no disrespect to Tom or Philip, but that looked amazing. what do you mean by "custom camera presets"? do you mean that the Picture Profile was turned off, ie: PPoff? is Magic Bullet the reason to why this piece looks so fantastic? how did you compress it in order for it to be viewed on Vimeo? i just can't believe that Magic Bullet is the only answer?

    waiting in bewilderment,
    mike

    Hi,
There are three main reasons it looks like it does, custom picture profile which is similar to that on philips website, magic bullet customized with cineform colour correction plugins, & the camera work-which is the most important ! compression is in wmv 720p (guidline from vimeo)

Another nice piece! I love the angles and various perspectives combined with DOF shifts. Nicely done.

Ah, beautiful piece. I'm from about an hour and a half south from Innsbruck: Trento, in Italy. I've been living in Florida for the past two years though: the are no mountains here, only swamps... I can't wait to go back.

Nice! I'm half Austrian and Innsbruck is my second home. =) Well done. I kind of missed a view of the city from the Seegrube or one of the beautiful walking paths up in the mountains, as well as a bit more of the Maria Theresien Strasse and the Hofburg. I don't really like the music you chose and I don't really see why you put that one uglier building in here while there're so many stunning buildings in Innsbruck. Pretty nice shots though! =)
