This clip, part of the raw footage I shot for my documentary "Putting the Pieces Together", shows a frogfish "walking"" across the sandy seabed around a Biorock® artificial reef.
This interesting species is usually spotted as a still, lumpy form on the coral reef that more closely resembles a Rorschack test than a fish. It's rare to spot them actively moving. They tend to "walk" more than truly swim, using their unusual fins to grip items in their path like prehensile hands.
