This is an example of laser ablation (destruction) of a urethral stone in a dog performed at South Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Columbia, SC (scvetspecialists.com). This stone was stuck in the urethra of this patient, making urination very difficult. Prior to using this technology, invasive surgical procedures were required to remove these stones.
