Shot with the Canon 7D for "30 Years in 30 seconds", a collection of 30 second short films directed by several Asian-American filmmakers for the Center for Asian American Media to be screened at the 2010 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival for its 30th Anniversary (CAAM30).
I thought we could do this within a four hour shoot day. I wrote the song and told Mark that we had to get a Zipcar and leave San Francisco. We spent three and a half hours location scouting. By the time we realized we had to extend the car reservation, it was too late, and I had to shoot the piece in a little less than 30 minutes. It actually fit with their theme, "30 Years in 30 seconds". Why not give yourself the restriction of shooting in 30 minutes?
