This is my technique for making a professional looking "big" image by correcting barrel distortion typically resulting from wide angle adapters.

This demo was created using images taken from the German website niggli.com, still frames out of a Canon HV20 with a Canon WD-H43 wide angle adapter.

    Are you using one (normal plus effect/filter) or two images (normal and wide angle) to create this effect?

    hm CRAP I don't think final cut has an "unpop" effect

    I'd look high and low for one... I haven't used Final Cut much, but I think lens correction and distortion tools are fairly common.
