1. Gorker Gallery presents: 'Engraving' live printing…
1 year ago
This a clip from the Live Printing & Wine Tasting by artist Twoone (spoken two-one) and winemakers Austins Wines held on 10 March 2010 at Gorker Gallery, Fitzroy, Melbourne.
The Live Printing & Wine Tasting was a side event to TWOONE's extremely popular solo exhibition 'Engraving' held at Gorker Gallery from 25 February - 14 March, 2010.
Twoone is an artist who's work commands a certain kind of intrigue from it's audience. His craftsmanship, patience and instantly recognizable decorative style resonates a flowing narrative, portraying a world of spiritual tranquility that you can't help but wish to be a part of.
Gorker Gallery is proud to present 'Engraving', the third exciting installment of solo show by Twoone. From the 'ONE THOUSAND CANS' show in '08 to 'SO FAR' in '09 we have witnessed the organic growth of Twoone's artistic adventure, moulding his original graffiti and illustrative roots with a more process driven conceptual approach. 'Engraving builds on this idea by exploring an ancient form of image making, working away negative space to reveal this symbolically charged body of two tone lino cut prints.
