It does look Star Wars-ish. It's kind of on the way to SanDeigo but then you take a left into the desert.
I too have a trip planned later in the year for the Salton Sea. I hope you get some good timelapses.
This is my favorite outdoor place , everytime I go there I find some new cool stuff. While the timelapse was going I was exploring caves.
Keep it coming, man.
As you know timelapse is hard , because you have to entertain yourself and leave it alone.
These are a little noisier than I wanted because I made them a little brighter and I shot in jpg.
Yeah, finding something to do is tough at night, especially on dark nights, because you can't have a campfire anywhere near the shoot. Sometimes I sit up drinking beer, listening to my ipod and star gazing, sometimes I watch movies on my laptop, and a lot of times I go to bed early, knowing I'm gonna have to crawl out of my tent or sleeping bag around 5AM to turn the camera off. :)
We ended up watching a movie on my friends laptop. I have been watching mivies in my Ipod if I'm by myself.
I think I'm going to do a tight slot canyon starlapse next time I go to borrego at night.
