Tokina 11-16mm F2.8
I'm so obsessed with that lens it's not even funny.
thats random you did a video ...not to many
people pay attention to it.....:)
I was considering getting myself a T2i. Unfortunately, when I learned about the rolling shutter issues, along with all the other difficulties and sacrifices that come with using a DSLR for video, I decided that this camera is not for me. I currently use a Canon XH-A1 and a Letus35. That's a good setup anyway, right?

Hope that helps!
any issues with sand and the non-weather proof body?
Anyway, great video.

:-)
Amazing shots and I love the widescreen effect. I am very happy with my T2i but now I need more lenses.
I've been going down there since I was 10 and I'm nearly cough - fort..cough.
You know there used to be some great flooded buildings on the west side and trailers - Also there is the old motel which have been cool. And if you go during the die out - dead fish and flooded buildings..um..okay that's not sexy...
Was that Travitene rock in the last shot?
Nice music, I remember using it once in my short film at uni.
The 100mm macro lens is astounding.
Great work Philip. Any reason for the switch from 2.35:1 to 2.55:1 - technical or you just wanted a wider aspect ratio?
my favorite is the 2:55 - 2:59 part, looks aweeesome!
the music and the location reminds me a bit of tarantino's "from dusk till dawn" especially the part i mentioned.
thanks for sharing mr bloom !
cheers
toby
One thing I found a bit unsettling though, and that's the composition of some shots. My guess is that the ultra-wide screen thingy caused the composition to be overcrowded, and in some shots even over-cropped.
I think this one ranks amongst your best.
Amazing.
Thanks for sharing your work!
Cheers.
Good for you, Mr. Bloom, for getting out and doing it. Keep up the kick-ass work.
do you know the glidetrack system? if so, what do you like more: the kessler pocket dolly or the glidetrack?
the one from kessler is quite expensive..
Can I ask what you did the edit in? I just bought myself a MacMini that I'm going to abuse with editing. In the summer I will be getting myself a T2I as well. I can't wait.
I'm sorry, but with video like that, it just had to be said.
Thanks.
What'd you do to record the audio and such?
How did you record the audio? On the camera? External mic?
thanks a lot!
You are getting better and better!
Compliments.
