In this video, Brandon Kazen-Maddox, a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA) signs the song "I Won't Give Up" in American Sign Language (ASL). The song was performed at the Bay Area Deaf Dance Festival 2014 in San Francisco, CA. The video is designed to function as a large background projection to accompany the live, ASL acrobatic dance performance of the song. Videography and Lighting by Jacob D. Haslem.
The song, "I Won't Give Up", originally performed by American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, was released as the first official single from his fourth studio album, 'Love Is a Four Letter Word' on January 3, 2012 via iTunes. It was written by Jason Mraz and Michael Natter, and produced by Joe Chiccarelli.
Brandon is passionate about combining his first language, American Sign Language, with his love for music, dance and acrobatics to continue to create more ASL music videos. He is constantly searching for Deaf artists to collaborate with, as well as musicians and fellow lovers of movement, whether hearing or Deaf.
