This day had the feel of a huge chase day, as a high risk was issued for extreme eastern and southeast Oklahoma into Arkansas. Chris Sanner and Brandon Goforth teamed up to tackle the jungles in search of big game tornadoes. Dewpoints were in the 70s and a sharp dryline was progressing eastward. We took a chance on the day and ended up with a storm that had all of the hallmarks of getting ready to be a major tornado producer -- until it suddenly died thanks to a strong cap/layer of dry air.
