I am about to buy a 7d in my advancement to HD video...I can just stick the lens under running water if it gets dirty? I am new to fancy lenses like these.

I prefer paying a little extra for the dishwasher safe models.

  • a commercial power washer, comet and a brillo pad really gets the job done as well.

try steel wool on the glass for really hard-to-clean spots.

    LOL LOL !!!!!! :-)))

Now get serious about it ! If you really want to clean the plastic/rubber parts of the rings, you should use a SHOE POLISHER sponge that is with GLYCERIN base and has NO colour in it. Because of the salt in our sweat, the rubber/plastic parts usually gets white.

Try to wipe out them with this shoe polisher sponge to see the results.

Greetings for the funny video !
