About video: My first DSLR experiment. Trying to explore the camera's skills. Still there are a lot of things to learn! The images that I directed the camera directly to the sun, there are some corruptions and aliasing but as I've said this was the first experiment. Don't let that images deceieve you :)
About lenses: Kit lens is ok. It works well in daylight but in lowlight conditions it sux. Albeit, most of the EF-S lenses are at the same aperture except 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM. Hence I can't detract it but I muss confess that there is an obvious image quality between little-magnificent 50mm f/1.8 and 18-55mm IS.
About 550D / T2i: Just superb. Even better than I expected. Via fast lenses it's lowlight performance is also quite good. In my opinion, the only lacking of 550D is being devoid from the mid-ISO ranges because at 3200 ISO the noise amount on video was remarkable with kit lens but with a fast lens like 1.8 or faster you don't need to increase ISO up to 3200.
Finally, if we ignore technical detail obssessed users apparently there is no difference between 550D and 7D except weight.
Enjoy! :)
