We've all had it rough lately, but there's always somebody worse off...

"Bring Yourself" drips from the phenomenal Chicago band, Oh My God, from their recent album, The Night Undoes the Work of the Day, out now on Split Red Records. You can find them at ohmygodmusic.com and splitredrecords.com respectively. They're a riot live, so do not miss a chance to see them in concert.

The concept, story, art and animation are provided by yours truly, Dan Bigelow (dancandraw.com). The art is ink on paper, refined in Photoshop, and then moved in AfterEffects.

It's rare when an artist gets to follow his heart on a project, so I want to thank the band and label for granting me such latitude here. I want to acknowledge the superb technical assistance from Brian Bossin of the Los Angeles Film School (lafilm.edu), who in no small way made it possible for me to bring you this dark vision. I'd like to give a nod to Dave Foss, and Keith Yan for tech tips. Also, my best friend and fiance, Veronica Hunt deserves many thanks for taking such good care of me and putting up with my late night fevers...

Finally, I want to thank my friend, Talon Nightshade (2326590/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">imdb.com/name/nm2326590/), who first introduced me to the music of Oh My God years ago. We co-created the video for Oh My God's "Get Steady" (1966023" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1966023) back in '03, and I wouldn't have been involved then or now if it weren't for his enthusiasm for their music. He had wanted to take on this song, but was too busy baking digital cookies for big blockbusters, so I dedicate this posting to him.
