The Long-nosed Bandicoot is a nocturnal marsupial the size of a small rabbit. It is an omnivore and is known to dig characteristic conical holes in lawns and the like in search of food such as roots and earthworms. This species is associated with forest and woodland, especially if dense and can be found along the east coast of Australia. This one was filmed at night mostly with infrared illumination while visiting our campsite on the south coast of NSW in search of titbits!
