One year anniversary present
Guys. I have it. I have to go sell all my textbooks so I can buy a memory card for it. But I have it. My very own HD camcorder.
Edit: 4:35PM -- I can't get my video onto my computer. This is tragic. I need to read manuals. ARGH.
Edit: 11:00PM -- Okay I figured it out, I'm dumb.
There's a big thank you in store.
Also, happy one year anniversary, vimeo. I love you 365 times more than I did on day one.

Record lots of flowers and insects!
The hf100 is imho the best little HD consumer cam there is. If it weren't for the lack of a viewfinder I would be all over it. With regards to exporting, can you just copy it straight up from the memory card via either a sd card slot and or usb/SD adapter? Sorry, if I'm just pointing out something that's an obvious option that you've already tried. AVCHD recording while awesome is going to be a taxing on your hardware, but you seem resourceful enough and I'm sure you'll figure it out. Hooray for awesome little HD cameras with fewer moving parts (no tapes)!!!
Hooray for you, have fun with it!
i have to shoot roomies in shitty standard definition.
once i saw Vimeo HD i was like. one day i will produce such beauty.
anyway i seem to be rambling
in short that is a sensual seductress of a cam corder.
and happy anniversary :D
BTW congas for your anny
I finally decided. I'm going tapeless too. Now I need some $$$.
Meet-up notes. It would be cool to have a live demo of a homemade dolly/steadicam. Maybe we could lay down a long track. vimeo.com/898335
