PIROI is a 20´documentary of a city, Phnom Penh, through the eyes of foreigners that took part in Cinemekong 2007 International Film Festival.

My initial idea was to show the foreigners as the strangers, opposite to what we usually do, wich is showing local people as weirdos.

I started looking for foreigners, and I realized how hard it was getting people involved. I decided then to treat them well and give them more relevancy. After all, it was this people who were making this film possible.

So in the end PIROI turned out to be a little tribute to people and a city, Phnom Penh.

It was screened in the Cinemekong 2007 Film Festival, and it was a great ending, sharing this screening with most of the people who had taken part.
