Another new mount arrived in the post this week from dogcamsport.co.uk allowing me to mount the GoPro HD on the frame, handlebars or seat post.
This week’s movie uses a long section of footage shot using the seat post mount. However the conditions were less than perfect with lots of mud flying around (see 2:28) and as I was using the protective case with the open back I found mud was ingressing and so switched camera positions. However I like the view that this generates and you can see me steering and applying the brakes (4:32) as well as Lee, the rider in front.
The handlebar mounted position was less successful as the number of links required to get a suitable position meant that the camera wobbled a lot.
After the last few efforts which were all shot from one or two positions and were just published to show you what the camera is capable this is more of a movie with lots of different camera positions and the footage actually cut to the music rather than it just being a background soundtrack.
Let me know what you think!
