Outside the Box is a work-in-progress documentary that is currently in production.

It is a journey of self-discovery about what it means to be Black and Jewish in America. It is a documentary that goes on a quest with director Lacey Schwartz to reconcile her two separate identities and face the painful truth of not being told who she was until she was an adult. Learning that she was born to a Black man, after having been raised to think she was White and Jewish, Outside the Box presents a story that gets to the heart of what can happen when race, family and religion collide.
