The livestock is brought to the sheep market on Tannery road from villages in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. The sheep are packed into trucks or vans with the shepherds and travel for 3-4 days at a time to reach the market. This is the most profitable time of the year for the shepherds. Some have been making this journey for the lest decade and even more.
