On a cold and rainy Friday evening, the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Harlem was packed with an audience during a time other than Sunday.
Reverend Billy Talen and his Church of Life After Shopping preached before an audience of roughly 80 people at the church on Friday, March 12. Talen’s sermon focused on the gentrification issues threatening the Harlem community and introduced a new fight he is and church will take up—mountain coal mining.
