Boston area singer songwriter came in on the morning of May the ninth. Abbie has a lot of singing experience in her background as a background singer for other artists and now strikes her own path with a recent 4 song-ger EP .

She stopped in with veteran Boston area session guitarist Steve Levy. This is what she left the listening audience with, spare guitars no effects Abbie's guitar mic w a Shure 57 & another 57 on an amp Steve ran his guitar out through to the mic instead of a direct (Steve's request).

Although there was no drone happening my mind puts one hovering under the track like the drone of deep bass sitar strings, ( i don't know can you "hear me" on that?)

Abbie Barrett is working on a yet untitled full length CD out sometime in the near future check her @ AbbieBarrett.com I hope you can not only catch some of her singing but man the woman can whistle better than most people and do it on the beat & in key!

Sound is Sound Board out camera sound deleted.

    Great performance.

(it may well be my connection or the compression, but I wonder if sound and vision are fully synchronous)

It was odd I was sure I had it dead on and ,,,
when I got near the end it was definitely off
so I split the difference, sorry 'bout that .
I need to learn some nudge technique on
    that score for future clips

Well, it's not that important. But at a certain point I keep focussing on the mouth (or on the hand or whatsoever) and forget to listen to the music :)

Well there is an issue with the second guitar which creates
some of the illusion of "being off the strum" of her hand too.

You're absolutely right. But that's just at the very start. Soon you realize it's the dynamic sound of the second guitar behind her that sort of "fools you".

I was reassured then, untill Abbie sung the word "but".

Thank you, nevertheless, for sharing these vids. I find great pleasure in watching them.
