Dubai is sort of like going to Las Vegas except without the gambling. The burj hotel is incredible, when you see it up close its really a spectacular piece of architecture. The indoor ski hill is crazy. The 4x4 tour is alot of fun.

Sadly they are destroying all of their Muslim culture in favor of tourism. Like Vegas after a few days you realize its all a bit too much and is overwhelming. Dubai is a great place to go if you want to have fun. For culture and a unique middle eastern experience its much better to go to Jordan or Morocco. Two of my all time favorite locations to visit.

I'm not surprised that someone who can shoot such a beautiful video is also thoughtful on the location.

Dubai scares me as Vegas scares me... Maybe it's my socialist leanings, but they seem like the logical result of late capitlalism: ie bull shit mirage in the desert.

I like to look at You Tube vids of all the fancy cars, etc. in Dubai and ponder this whole oil shell game... HA Shell. Let's blame the Dutch.
