I love seeing the HF100 with a wide adapter. One more thing for my wish list. :)

Lovely stuff again, Lucien. I think I'm practically sold on the WD-H43 wide angle. I was worried it wasn't wide enough but I've noticed other lens introduce blurriness and can't zoom through as well. This looks sharp to the edges. You're becoming my source for travelogs! Where to next? Goblin Valley? :)

Thanks Mark. Note the WD-H43 is meant for the HV20 and it's quite heavy. I use it now and then since it's better at the full tele end than the lighter and cheaper WD-H37C.

Normally around this time of the year I do several hikes but record snow caused almost all trails to be still closed. Hopefully soon...

Very nice shots. Do you find the weight of the WD-H43 puts a lot of stress on the setup up ring? Just wondering how long the ring would last.

I have an HF100 also and can't decide between the WD-H37C and the WD-H43. Any input you may have would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Thanks. I do think it adds some stress to the entire lens thread so I'm a bit wary about that. The HV20/HV30 is a better match for that lens. This is why I still have the WD-H37C as well and I use that lens most of the time.

The WD-H37C looks good up to about 60-70% of the zoom. You could occasionally remove the lens for fully zoomed shots so you get better quality and more zoom, but arguably that also puts some wear and tear on the thread.
