Interview with Kristen Aguirre-Ford
Our valuable interview with Ms. Aguirre-Ford taught us that:
Having Support from Others Drives an Interest in Literacy, Wordless Books are a Great Tool in Not Being Limited by the Words, Visual Recognition is Tied Into Sound Recognition, Metacognition is About Why are You Learning What You are Learning, the Hand Movements Go With the Letters, Recalling the Movements of a Letter Helps to Remember How to Write It, and People Without the Prior Opportunity to Learn Tend to Be More Active. These are all points that have directly informed the direction we are taking and the tools we are developing to confront illiteracy in our NET Learning project.
