UPDATE December 1st, 2010: This video just won the "Best Videography/Cinematography" award at the Professional BC Wedding Awards. bcweddingawards.com/winners.html#12
It was great of Canon to release the firmware just days before this wedding, allowing us to shoot glorious 24p as well as mix 5D2 with T2i. There is nothing better than pushing the shutter speed below 1/100 and watch fast action strobe away. The little segment with the pastry puffs was intended to be cinematic and strobey, as well as the car-pushing scene.
This was our first wedding with the Cinevate Pegasus, and it really added a whole new dimension to our coverage. I think we're getting closer to our goal of having every shot look like a planned piece of the cinematic puzzle.
Ever since I first heard this track by A. R. Rahman - Mumbai Theme - I knew I'd use it for my first Indian wedding. It's a tad dark and I wasn't going to use it. But after searching for a week for something better, I had to go back to it. A great track can really push you to do something special. It was an epic three day event and so stretching this highlight edit to five minutes was not a problem.
