This morning I awoke at 6:30AM to the sound of commotion. At 5:00AM, a fire began in an 1870 house right behind ours. The FWFD had been fighting it for an hour and were packing it in when the sole remaining firetruck/fighters looked across the street and noticed a second house ablaze. Back came the trucks and they did it all over again! Then, someone noticed a broken window pane in yet another house back across the street, wherein they found a full gas can and the tenant saying he himself was awoken by a banging on his door at around 4:00AM. Clearly arson!

The strangest thing is that within hours the first house was completely demolished. Here's to another gaping hole in our old-urbanist neighborhood.
