The ability to measure things is at the heart of experimental science. Using the power of Quantum Physics, it is possible to make a ruler that can make measurements far more accurately than normally possible. My PhD involved using photons, the smallest particles of light, to investigate the properties of such a "quantum ruler". This video is the story of those photons told through swing dancing.

By getting the indvidual photons to cooperate with one another, leaving them "entangled", it is possible to accomplish things not ordinarily possible. Besides improving our ability to make measurements, entangled photons may be used to make fast computers based on quantum mechanics and to transmit secrets between two parties with absolute security.

Awesome job guys!! Interesting science, and interesting dance! Leave it to the physicists to know how to stack people in crazy ways, lol!
