Costa Rica Southern Skies
This is a time lapse over a three hour period until midnight of the southern sky. Looking south from La Ensenada Lodge over the Gulf of Nicoya: Eta Carina, Canopus, the Large Magellanic Cloud, and the Milky Way are visible as they move across the sky. The bright red trails in the foreground are caused by our red flashlights as others in my group observe with their telescopes and take photos with their camera gear.
