    Very nice. I always used to think swans were so graceful and peaceful, until I was attacked by one. They are still beautiful though.

    My next-door neigbour has a similar problem with domestic geese: they always try to chase her away - the noise and mayhem has to be seen to be believed!

    Very good views of them. They seem calm and unconcerned about your presence. I suppose they've figured out that they're safe and protected there. Will they nest there?

    Steve, I'm not sure whether they will nest on the Pool, but they did mate on the water whilst I was there and you know how is it is - I missed it with my camera. Its about the only time that I have heard them make any sound: the male makes a kind of growling chatter when he mounts the female.

    I'll keep a look out and see if they do nest there, doubt it because there are no reed beds or cover - its more of a transit airport for ducks, geese, swans, etc. and even oyster catchers...
