I ran a 10-mile race on Saturday, May 24th. The Soldier Field 10-Miler kicks off the Chicago running community's series of summer races. Big shout-out to Dave Zimmer, owner of Fleet Feet Sports running shop and race director of the SF10!! As the announcer said at the starting line, thank you for everything you've done for Chicago's running community!

I've been struggling with chronic back problems for a year, which meant I wouldn't PR (have a personal record). However, it's my own fault that I posted *the worst time* I've ever run (2:00:31, due to only 4 hours of sleep, arriving at the race too late to stretch and consuming an entire pizza the night before) but it was a gorgeous day to run along Chicago's lakefront with 7,000 other runners!

This is an outtake of the longer, full-length version from start to finish... coming soon!!

Wow, great look on your video. That song reminds me of bad bands playing on Friday night after football games in high school.

Thanks, Hoop. I love running, even though after turning 40, my stamina and recovery time have waned. I could still tear it up as a Master's runner if only I weren't dealing with chronic back and hip problems which came upon me with no warning and haven't resolved. I've been injury-free for over 20 years but hey, no one gets away for free, I suppose.
